Barbara
Barbara started BLS Eldercare in February 2009. As a qualified financial planner “looking for her niche,” Barbara was introduced to Veteran’s benefits and began leading seminars on the subject at assisted living communities. Barbara now offers an affordable alternative for elder care financial planning through her business.

Having graduated with a BS in Medical Computer Science, an MS in Electrical Engineering, as well as acquiring an MBA degree, Barbara is more than qualified to run an establishment of this nature. Barbara is a Registered Financial Gerontologist, passing the comprehensive certification with distinction. She is also a graduate of The College for Financial Planning. Barbara's compassionate approach to working with families is what distinguishes the business from others in the industry.

Barbara also has developed a unique system called “Care-culator,” which is used internally to help answer questions about the financial impact of elder care, using different scenarios. The funds from this loan will go towards the development of this beneficial tool, and will cover the programming and marketing expenses, including website development. Barbara's goal is to market and license this product as a consumer tool.
