Francisca
Francisca is 64 years old. She lives together with her youngest son in the district of Zaña. Its residents work in all types of business and in agriculture. It is two hours from the city of Chiclayo, on the northern coast of Perú.

She explains to us that she works sewing garments. Her shop is located in her house. With the help of her son, they raise young animals – ducks, hens, and guinea pigs – that they sell in the area’s market after fattening them.

They are a united family. Francisca has requested a loan of 2500 nuevos soles for the purchase of tailoring materials like fabric and thread, and a second part for balanced feed for fattening her animals, and in this way have better production to offer her clients, generating additional income for her family.

Francisca tiene 64 años de edad vive junto a su menor hijo en el distrito de Zaña, su población se dedica al comercio de todo tipo y agricultura, a dos horas de la ciudad de Chiclayo, costa norte del Perú.


Ella nos explica que se dedica a la confección de prendas de vestir su taller está ubicado en su domicilio, con la ayuda de su hijo crían animales menores patos, gallinas y cuyes que luego de engordarlos los ofrecen en el mercado de la zona.


Son una familia unida, Francisca ha solicitado un préstamo de 2 500 nuevos soles para la compra de materiales de confección telas, hilos y una segunda parte para alimentos balanceados para engorde de animales y de esta manera tener una mejor producción para ofrecerlos a sus clientes, generándole ingresos adicionales para su familia.

This product was created to assist Edpyme Alternativa to expand their reach into rural areas of Northern Peru in order to attend more underserved populations. Kiva funding allows the institution to access the Northern areas of the Piura, Lambayeque, and Cajamarca regions, which are generally too costly to serve and therefore less attended by financial institutions.
