In her family working the land and with livestock is a tradition and the only means of income for strengthening the household finances.

The land that she cultivates and works and also has her cows is her own obtained thanks to an inheritance from her parents and partly through a purchase. It is located 4 kilometers from her home and the trip is made by vehicle at the same time as they transport the raw material.

Her dreams are to have a farm, to have quality cattle and to be able to be one of the best producers of milk in the area. As a mother she dreams of seeing her children become professionals with university degrees that help their growth and development to work in any field of work they might be held responsible for.

So she is asking today for a loan in order to begin to strengthen her dream with which she will buy 2 milk cows improving her livestock and the amount of product she can obtain through the purchase.

More information about this loan

These loans are designed for female farmers who produce a variety of products (onion, garlic, eggplant, spinach, mango, strawberries, etc.). Loan terms will vary depending on need, and borrowers can choose to make a "bullet" payment timed with harvest profits. Agricultural loans are considered risky in Honduras due to external forces like unpredictable weather and worldwide crop prices. As a result, many traditional financial institutions are unwilling to offer these loans. With Kiva funding, COMIXMUL will be able to reach more borrowers with agricultural loans tailored to their needs.
