Maria has always dreamed of becoming a commercial engineer. To achieve her goal, Maria has enrolled in Escuela Militar de Ingeniería. She plans to graduate in July 2016 but without a loan from Vittana she thinks that she may need to take time off to work and save until she can return to school. With this loan, Maria plans to buy her schoolbooks. Up until now, she has been managing to get by without them but it has become a challenge. With books and school supplies, she feels she will be able to get better grades. In addition to her responsibilities at school, Maria currently works 40 hours a week at a store and earns $10 a day. With a career in commercial engineering, she expects to earn $25 a day, a substantial increase from before. With one older sibling attending college already, Maria is unsure how she will be able to finance her education on her own without the assistance of a Vittana loan.
