Annet is married with three children and all her children go to school. She doesn’t take care of additional family. She has a business of selling charcoal and has been in this business for 4 years. She doesn’t have any other income-generating activity.
Annet has applied for a loan of 1,000,000 Uganda shilling from MCDT-SACCO to buy more bags of charcoal. She works from home seven days a week and sells to all categories of people, both retail and wholesale. Her major business challenges include seasonality and defaulters.
Annet is aspiring to sell wholesale only and also to build her own house. She resides in the family house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses includes school fees and rent.
