Maxima, 54, is married with two children. She runs a general store to make a living. She has been in this business for more than four years as an aid to her husband's income from employment as a family driver.
She joined GDMPC in 2010 and, recently, she requested a loan to purchase additional grocery goods for sale. She hopes to sustain the business and improve the general living situation of her family in the near future.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services.
