Señora Cristina R. is a very self sacrificing and hard-working woman. She is an old settler of a very poor and marginal area located in the poor area of greater Asunción.

She has a pantry and has been able to raise 6 children with this work. Four of her children have already formed their own homes. Two of them are still small and she continues maintaining them in everything, especially in their studies. She has her own house and she is alone without the aid of a husband.

In her pantry, she markets food and consumer staples for the home. In addition she sells some fast foods in order to obtain an extra income.

The loan will permit her to enlarge her stock of merchandise, varying the brands and types of products. In this way her clients will have more choices of things to purchase and she will avoid having them go to the supermarkets that are the greatest competition for the neighborhood pantries.
