Mariya lives in Drogobych. She sells embroidered shirts and blouses, towels, flower garlands and embroidery accessories, i.e. beads, embroidery patterns and yarn. She has been running this business for 18 years. Her two vending kiosks are located at a big local market that is very popular among the locals.
Mariya turned to KIVA for assistance of 5,000 Grivnas to purchase candles and fabric for embroidery. This type of merchandise has become very popular these days and sells very well. Mariya is hoping to sell purchased merchandise and re-invest the income in her business.
