Azizeh is a 53-year-old Lebanese married woman living with her husband and only child, who is attending school. She owns a shop where she sells clothes and shoes from different brands. Thanks to her friendly personality, she was able to maintain loyal customers who always visit her to buy new outfits. Currently, Azizeh is applying for a loan from Kiva partner Vitas s.a.l to purchase different types of shoes and a new collection of winter clothes in order to increase her sales. She is certain that the loan will help her increase her profits by a large percentage, and in the future she plans to expand her business into other areas.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
