Marija lives in a village of Kosovo. She is 56 years old and is married and the mother of three children between the ages of 13 to 33 years old. Marija is a hardworking woman who helps her family to improve their lives. As part of family tradition, Marija and her husband sell milk and cheese produced from some sheep that they own and raise. (You can see Marija and her husband in the photo).
At this time they have 30 sheep that she raises and cares for. This agricultural business has been successful and profitable. Marija has been doing it for a long time and her handwork and dedication are clearly evident. Now, she is asking for a loan to buy food for the upcoming winter season for her sheep. This loan will ensure that she is able to sustain her sheep during the rough season so that they are able to continue to produce dairy for her family and sales. Her goal is to raise the number of sheep she has and to continue to grow her business. Marija is very thankful to Kiva lenders for this kind support!
