Margarit
Margarit is from Sisian city, Syuniq region. She lives with her husband and works as a music teacher. Her salary, however, is not enough to cover her family's basic needs. With the help of her husband she is engaged in cattle breeding and in cultivation of wheat, potatoes, apples, pears, and walnuts. Margarit's husband helps her greatly in selling the agricultural products in the local market.

As life is getting more expensive with time, Margarit wants to expand her agribusiness a little bit to be able to more effectively meet her family's needs. A loan of USD 3,000 will be a huge support to this hard-working woman enabling her to purchase a cow, two calves, and four piglets, to buy forage for the livestock and to purchase some fuel for agricultural machinery.

As this is Margarit’s first loan, it has been approved within the framework of the new joint initiative of Kiva and SEF. The first-chance loan program provides loans to people who didn’t have access to credit products before, because they have no credit history. The family will be very thankful to the lenders for their good-will and support.
