Fatuma is a married woman with four children, all of whom attend school. She owns a house that neither has electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
For over two years, she has operated a fruit and vegetable stall business, where she sells from home to her neighbours and passersby. She faces a major challenge of seasonality in her place of operation. She dreams of establishing a grocery store in the future.
With the 40,000 KES she wants to purchase a stock of green vegetables, fruits, tomatoes, potatoes and onions. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
