Aghunik is an experienced farmer from Mets Sepasar village, in the Shirak region. Her family consists of her husband, son, daughter-in-law, and one-year-old grandson.
Aghunik's husband has migrated to Russia as a labor migrant to be able to work there and send money to the family in order for them to live on. Aghunik's son works for the village local self-governance body. His salary is so low that he cannot cover the basic daily needs of the family.
Aghunik is engaged in cattle breeding, in the breeding of livestock of sheep, pigs, and hens, and in cultivation of wheat. Her son helps her sell the agricultural products in the local market. Agribusiness is an important source of family's income.
As the autumn is progressing, the family's agribusiness needs some investments in order for it to be productive. Aghunik needs a loan of USD 1,800 to purchase wheat seeds, to buy fuel for agricultural machinery, to purchase forage for the livestock, and to pay for harvesting services.
The family greatly relies on the goodwill of the lenders and they will be very grateful to them for their support in obtaining the needed loan to sustain their agribusiness.
