The communal association “TORRE FUERTE I” will be starting its fourth cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the Villa Tejada Centre. It is made up of eight members and is run by a board of directors of which Alicia is the Secretary. The businesses which the members of the communal association run are varied and among them are: sewing skirts and blankets, furniture shop, cosmetics shop, natural products sales, mechanic, food sales and milk sales.

The loan they will take out will benefit small businesswomen of which Alicia is a member. She says she joined Pro Mujer three cycles ago after being invited by a friend who is a member of the institution.

Currently she has a business selling cosmetics. She says she started this business on the advice of a friend who was in the same line of business. Now it is going very well for her which is why she wants to increase her stock.

The loan she will take out now is to increase capital to buy a cosmetics which she will buy from the wholesale distributors in the city of El Alto and will later sell in her sales outlet. This type of work helps her to generate income to support her home as much as possible, since she is single and has 3 children. When she is asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she replies that she likes the training on loans and health and the service provided by the staff.

La A.C. “TORRE FUERTE I” iniciará el cuarto ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Villa Tejada, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Alicia es la Secretaria. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: confección de polleras y mantas, tienda de muebles, tienda de cosméticos, venta de productos naturales, mecánico, venta de comida, venta de leche.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Alicia es integrante, ella indica que hace tres ciclos que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por invitación de una amiga que es socia de la institución. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de cosméticos; cuenta que este negocio lo emprendió por concejo de una amiga que realizaba el mismo comercio, en la actualidad le va muy bien por ello quiere ampliar su mercadería.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de cosméticos) que adquirirá de las distribuidoras mayoristas de la Ciudad de El Alto y posteriormente lo comercializará en su espacio de venta. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para mantener en lo posible a su hogar pues es soltera y tiene tres hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gustan las capacitaciones en crédito y salud y las atenciones que brindan el personal.
