Abrose is 30 years old and supports six members of his family. He runs a retail shop in Chepkuny trading centre at the outskirts of Kapsabet town. He has been in the retail business for the last three years. He gets an average monthly income of Kshs 3,000. He plans to use the loan amount borrowed of Ksh. 90,000 to purchase maize flour, sugar, rice and cooking fat for resale. He will use the profits from the retail shop to expand his business.
