Agnes, a 25-year-old single mother of one, supports both her child and her mother. Agnes hawks green tea leaves in Nandi county and also keeps indigenous dairy cows whose milk she sells for additional income. In business for three years, she earns an average of kshs 10,000 a month.
Agnes intends to use her first loan of Kshs. 80,000 from Kadet Ltd to purchase sacks of green tea leaves from local farmers to resell to a tea factory for a profit. She will use the profits to expand her business and provide for her family as well as save some for the education of her child.
Agnes' dream is to succeed in life and give the best support possible to her family members.
