Salome is 45 years old and from Nakuru, Kenya. She is not married but is blessed with four children aged 28, 25, 13 and 9 years old.
For 22 years she has run a business selling fruits and vegetables. To enable her buy more stocks of capsicum (bell peppers), gourgettes (zucchini), onions, tomatoes, oranges, bananas, mangoes and carrots to sell to her customers, she has applied for her third loan of 60,000 KES from Kadet Ltd., Kiva's field partner
Salome's monthly income right now is 30,000 KES and she intends to use profits from her expanded business to pay back her loan and to educate two of her children whom are still in school.
Her hope and dream is for both her business and family to be prosperous.
