Meet 27-year-old Mariama from Waterloo2 Eastern area in Freetown. She is married with two children, 3 years and 7 years old. She was a house wife; she began her business because she wanted to create her daily survival contribution to the home. In 2000, Mariama established her assorted drinks business. She works at the business 9 hours per day, 6 days per week. She says that at present her business is doing well.
Mariama requires a loan in order to purchase a variety of assorted drinks and Pure Water. She hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow her to increase her business and have a permanent business location. In the future, Mariama plans to own the biggest shop in the community.
