Kelegna is a group of women from the Sincina district of Koutialia who know each other well and live in extended traditional families with their husbands, children and other relatives. They have an average age of 38, are married and have an average of 6 children each. This group of women sells various items like fruit and vegetables, fabrics, beauty products and prepared food. The members decided to join the Soro Yiriwaso loan program in order to increase the size of their businesses and are on their 7th group loan.

Lalaicha is a member of the Kelegna group. She is the one wearing the blood red damask outfit in the picture and she sells tubers, fruits and vegetables. She plans to use her loan to buy bags of vegetables (potatoes, peppers and yams). She will get her supplies in Koutiala and the surrounding area. She makes her sales, for cash, at her home and at the market to a diverse retail clientèle. Whereas the other members of the Kelegna group expect to make an average monthly profit of 135 000 francs each during this loan cycle, Lalaicha expects to make an average monthly profit of 160 000 francs. The group members use part of their income to cover their daily expenses and part of it to increase their working capital, as well as to repay their loans.
Kelegna est un regroupement de femmes du quartier Sincina plateau de Koutiala qui se connaissent bien et vivent dans de grandes familles traditionnelles avec leurs maris, enfants et autres parents. Elles ont en moyenne 38 ans, sont mariées avec en moyenne 6 enfants.
Ce groupe de femmes fait le commerce d’articles divers tels, vente de fruits et légumes, de tissus, de cosmétique, de la restauration, etc.
Pour augmenter la taille de leurs activités, les membres ont décidé d’intégrer le programme crédit de Soro Yiriwaso. Elles sont à leur septième prêt de groupe.
Lalaicha est un membre du groupe Kelegna, assise a en bazin rouge sang qui fait la vente de tubercules, des fruits et des légumes.
Elle compte utiliser son prêt pour acheter des sacs de légumes, de patate, de poivron et d’igname. Elle se procure de ces articles à Koutiala et environs. Elle vend ces articles en détail et au comptant à la maison et au marché et à une clientèle diverse.
Tandis que les autres membres du groupe Kelegna comptent réaliser un bénéfice mensuel moyen de 135 000CFA chacune au cours de ce cycle Mme Lalaicha compte réaliser 160 000FCFA.
En plus du remboursement des prêts, elles utilisent une partie du revenu pour faire face aux dépenses personnel et augmenter son fond de commerce.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients.
