Susan, 36 years old, is married and has five children. She helps her husband in running their own repair shop to earn a living. Aside from this business she also has had a video-karaoke machine, with which she earns extra income.
Susan joined GDMPC recently and has taken a loan to purchase spare parts and oil for her repair shop. She wants to be successful in her business and she wants to see her children finish their studies in the future.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
