Raulina is running a general store in the village of Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur. She is married with four children and her husband is earning a living as a carpenter. She has been working in her store for 14 years as an aid to her husband's income. She borrowed a loan of 9,000 PHP from GDMPC micro credit to purchase more grocery goods for sale. She is hopeful to improve her business and be able to sustain it for the improvement of their general living in the future.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
