Beatrice is a married woman with three children all of whom go to school. She lives in her own house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
Beatrice operates a nursery school. She has been in this business for the last thirteen years.
Beatrice wants to expand her school to accommodate more students. With the KES 30,000, she wants to purchase furniture such as chairs, desks and tables for her classrooms. She decided to join Yehu Microfinance Trust to get financial support to improve her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
