Betty is married with four children and two of her children go to school. She has no additional family members. She sells second hand clothes at the market on a retail basis. She has been in this business for 10 years. She works six days a week. She has applied for a loan of Uganda shillings 1,800,000 from MCDT-SACCO to buy more bales of second hand clothes. Her major business challenges include seasonality, ever increasing prices of used clothes and transportation. She is aspiring to become a wholesaler and also to get permanent residence. She resides in a rented house and the family has access to electricity and does not have access to piped water. Her monthly expense includes school fees, rent and feeding the family.
