Sopheak is 28 years old and graduated from high school in the region of the Takeo province. He graduated since 2007 and didn’t have a chance to pursue his degree at the university due to his family’s financial constraints. Since the student loan is available for low-income people, he started to consider furthering his education and wants to receive a degree in the field of Marketing. He has a passion for his major because he is aware that this major is suitable for his personality.

Sopheak wants to borrow a loan of 800 US dollars to pay tuition fees for the first two academic-years of a course at Build Bright University. He understands that an education will give him the opportunity to get a high-paying job that will allow him to support his parents in the future. During this course, Sopheak plans to find a part-time job in order to help his parents repay the loan. Sopheak appreciates the help of people all around the world who have contributed to programs like Kiva via its partners, HKL, which have supported his education individually and other low-income family.
