Sophy is 42 years old. She is widowed and resides with three children in Kampong Speu Province, Cambodia. She has been cultivating rice and fattening up animals for more than ten years, earning approximately $2 per day. Two of her children are employed in a garment factory. They earn about $10 daily.
To improve her farming process, Sophy is requesting a loan of $700 to purchase cattle for tilling her farmland. This purchase will help her reduce her farming expenses. In the future, she would like to build a new house and help her youngest child earn Bachelor’s degree.
