She operates a fruit and vegetable stall at the market selling to town dwellers and neighbors. She faces the challenges of competition and seasonality in her business.
With the 30,000 KES, she wants to purchase sacks of fruits, oranges, bananas and green vegetables for resale. She dreams of expanding and establishing a retail shop in the future.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
