Communal bank “12 de junio” is in its third cycle with Pro Mujer, in the satellite office of Senkata. It is composed of eight members and run by a board where Dora is the president. The members have different activities, such as selling clothes, selling groceries, weaving blankets, selling toys, carpentry and selling shoes.

This loan will be beneficial for small micro entrepreneurs such as Dora. She has been working with Pro Mujer for three years, invited by a representative from the institution that paid her a visit. She has a tailor’s shop, inherited from her parents some years ago.

The loan she is requesting will help her to increase her working capital. She will buy fabrics from the different wholesalers in the city of El Alto. She will make clothes and sell them in different regions in Bolivia. With this activity, she can maintain her family. She is single and has three children.

When asked what she likes the most about Pro Mujer, she says she likes the healthcare facilities.

La A.C. “12 DE JUNIO” iniciará el tercer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Senkata, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Dora es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: venta de ropa, venta de abarrotes, tejido de mantas, venta de juguetes, taller de carpintería, venta de zapatos.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Dora es integrante, ella indica que hace tres años que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por la invitación de una asesora de la institución que fue a visitarle a su casa. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de taller de costura de ropa; da a conocer que este negocio fue heredado por sus padres hace varios años atrás, es por ello que ella sigue el negocio.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de tela) que adquirirá de las tiendas mayoristas de la ciudad de El Alto y posteriormente a la elaboración lo comercializará en otros departamentos de Bolivia. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para mantener a su familia, ya que ella es soltera y tiene tres hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta los consultorios de salud que se tiene en la oficina.
