Actualmente se dedica a atender su negocio, una cafetería que inició desde hace 5 años motivada por la necesidad de generar recursos para apoyar a su esposo con la carga económica del hogar, pues se encontraba desempleada y los ingresos de su compañero no eran suficientes. Trabaja sola todos los días de la semana de 9:00 am a 8:00 pm y en su negocio ofrece gaseosas, alimentos fritos, mecato, dulces, café, entre otros productos, de esta forma percibe los ingresos necesarios para aportar al sustento de su familia. El crédito que solicita es para comprar un refrigerador y surtido al por mayor (mecato, galletería, dulces, gaseosas, enlatados, café) así podrá tener más variedad de productos disponibles para ofrecer a sus clientes y aumentará sus ventas, lo que dará como resultado mejores condiciones de vida para su familia y un avance para cumplir el sueño de fortalecer y estabilizar la rentabilidad de su negocio para que le permita, en un futuro, montar otro establecimiento. This loan is structured on Kiva as a bullet loan, which means a single payment is required at the end of the loan term. By Colombian law, Kiva's partner Interactuar is required to offer borrowers loans with a variable interest rate that fluctuates with the market rate. Because fixed monthly payments are applied first to interest and then to principal, Interactuar is unable to predict upfront what portion of each repayment would go towards the loan principal. This creates a challenge with Kiva's system, which doesn't allow for unpredictable principal payments, and can result in some Interactuar clients appearing falsely delinquent. To remedy this, the loan has an end-of-term repayment plan on Kiva, but the borrower will continue scheduled monthly repayments to Interactuar, who will then pass along the principal amount to Kiva lenders. This means that you may see repayments made on this loan throughout the repayment term, as opposed to receiving repayment in full at the end of the loan term.
