Dorah is a married mother. She owns a house that has electricity and piped water. Dorah runs a cereal shop business at the market, selling to passersby and neighbours. She says that seasonality is her major challenge in her business.
With the loan of 50,000 Kenyan Shillings, she wants to buy sacks of maize, beans, rice and sugar.
Her dream is to see her children get better education and become important people in their society.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
