Georgina's Group
In this Group: Diana , Georgina , Comfort , Joyce , Mabel
This group is made up of five members, all women, who are responsible for their families. They are from Teshie, which is located in the coastal zone of the country. These people are characterized by being hard working, responsible, and wanting to excel. Unfortunately, due to the lack of enough economic resources, they were not able to study and were obligated to work from a young age in order to help with the household expenses. They are into the sales of tomatoes, slippers, cookies, toothbrushes and toothpaste.

Georgina has been selling toothbrushes and toothpaste for six years. She does this work eight hours daily on foot. The objective of the loan is to purchase and sell toothbrushes and toothpaste so that in the not too distant future, she can obtain a better income. ID-Ghana is appreciated for the support of the Kiva investors that provide to these people. They will need a total loan of GHS 4,200 to buy and sell enough to mobilize profit.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
