Ivan is a 41 years old and married, with eight children. He lives in Kasese, Uganda.
He is a farmer but also has a transport business to earn more money to support his family.
Of late his plantation of bananas has been affected by the banana-wilt disease, which has caused a drop in his yields. He hopes to rehabilitate the plantation, so he intends to use the loan to buy fertilizers and sprays and pay workers who are to uproot the affected stems.

This loan is part of HOFOKAM's program targeting poor and geographically excluded populations in Western Uganda.
