Darley is a forty-one-year-old woman with three children living in Kasese, Uganda. She grows flowers for a living and the business has been very lucrative since parties are held almost every weekend and she is the sole supplier in the area. She also earns a salary as a teacher. Diseases and unpredictable weather changes pose a challenge to her business while her desire is to buy land and expand her farming activities. Darley intends to use the loan to buy land.

This loan is part of HOFOKAM's program targeting poor and geographically excluded populations in Western Uganda. In addition to loans, it provides social and business training programs to low-income entrepreneurs and their communities.
