Mardiosa is 49 years old, a resident of Brgy. Caniangan, Tangub City, Misamis Occidental, Philippines, who is very responsible with her household obligations since she has always been known to provide the best for her family. She is a farmer. She currently lives with her husband and three children.
Mardiosa wants to increase sales. Consequently, she has requested a loan that will enable her to purchase seeds, compost and fertilizer, among other items, so that she can continue to put bread on the table in her home.
About Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative
Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PMPC) was founded in 1992 by the beneficiaries, parents and staff of the Paglaum Community Development Foundation to address economic and livelihood activities for sustainability. The organization operates in the northwestern provinces of Mindanao and Visayas.
In the local vernacular, “paglaum” means “hope.” The initial foundation is dedicated to child development through a holistic approach. The goal is to build self-reliance and expand opportunity so the poorest of the poor can help themselves.
