Mwanajuma is a divorced woman with four school-going children.They live in their own house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
She operates in a cafe preparing various foods such as beans, flat bread and rice which she sells to her customers.
She is requesting a loan of 50,000 KES to purchase food ingredients, wheat flour, maize flour and beans for her business. She joined Yehu to get financial support.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
