Intissar is a 46-year-old Lebanese married woman living with her husband and three children who are still attending school. She has been working in selling clothes for the past 3 years. She started her business with eagerness, as her aim was to collect an adequate income, in cooperation with her husband who owns a poultry shop, to be able to satisfy the family’s needs.
With her loan requested from Kiva partner Vitas s.a.l, she will purchase a wide variety of clothes designed to protect persons from the cold. In the future, she plans to open her own store next to her house and sell women's shoes as well.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
