Nenad
Nenad is 40 years old, single, and living in a minority community in Kosovo with his elderly parents who receive a pension. For more than three years now, Nenad has been running his own car wash business. In the beginning, he started to work in front of his house and later he started to build an awning and enclosure to operate from his home. However, because of the lack of money he was not able to complete it.

Now he is in need of a 1,500 EUR loan so that he can build walls for his car wash. This loan will help him to attract more clients, serve more of them at once, and serve them more quickly because he will have more space. He hopes to hire an employee in the future and expand his business even more. He really appreciates this help and wants to thank all of the lenders!

Additional Information

More information about this loan

This loan will support the economic aspirations of minority people in Kosovo. Roma people and ethnic Serbians have historically faced a tremendous amount of hardship in Kosovo, and are still socioeconomically and politically vulnerable. During the 1998-1999 war, the fighting displaced 250,000 people. Among those displaced were an estimated 80-90% of the region’s Roma population. Today, Roma and ethnic Serbians living in Kosovo still face discrimination and are excluded from many aspects of society, including fair political representation and high rates of unemployment. By supporting this loan you are helping provide opportunity to marginalized populations.
