Hafeezan is 53 years old, married, and has six children. Her husband is a labor worker whose income is not sufficient to meet the needs of his family members. For the last six years, she has been manufacturing waan, which is a material used in making charpoy (a bedstead of woven webbing or hemp stretched on a wooden frame on four legs, common in Pakistan). She offers various kinds of waan in different colors and is famous in providing good quality waan to her community. With the income, she is able to manage the needs of her family members.

Hafeezan is requesting a loan for 35,000 PKR, which she will use to buy a good quality machine to make waan with fresh quality thread. With the loan, she will increase her sales. She is running her own business confidently and supporting her family. She wants to provide a better standard of living for her family.

About Kashf Foundation

Kashf Foundation is one of the leading microfinance providers in Pakistan, focused on expanding financial access for poor women across the country.
