Vladimir
Vladimir is 34 years old, married and has two children aged three and eights years old. He lives with his family in a small village where the majority of the people are unemployed or generate income mainly through various agricultural means. Vladimir has supported his family for many years using a machine to cultivate and maintain the property and land of others.

Recently his trailer has broken down and he has been unable to work or provide an income for his family. He is requesting a loan so that he will be able to pay for the costs of repairing the trailer on his tractor and begin to provide income again. He is very grateful to the KosInvest-Kiva lenders for the financial support given to his family.

More information about this loan

This loan will support the economic aspirations of minority people in Kosovo. Roma people and ethnic Serbians have historically faced a tremendous amount of hardship in Kosovo, and are still socioeconomically and politically vulnerable. During the 1998-1999 war, the fighting displaced 250,000 people. Among those displaced were an estimated 80-90% of the region’s Roma population. Today, Roma and ethnic Serbians living in Kosovo still face discrimination and are excluded from many aspects of society, including fair political representation and high rates of unemployment. By supporting this loan you are helping provide opportunity to marginalized populations.
