Noha is a 40-year-old married Lebanese woman living with her husband and four children, who are attending school. Her husband works at his town’s municipality, and she is a female hairdresser. She has been in this business since 2009. The couple works in partnership to collect money as much as they can to meet the life expenses.
With her loan, requested from Kiva partner Vitas s.a.l., she will purchase hairdressing tools and supplies. Noha is very optimistic, and she wishes to open her own beauty salon as soon as possible to welcome her customers in a well-organized setting.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
