Charlse
Charlse is 37 years old and lives in the town of Nateete in the Kampala west region of Uganda. He is married and has 3 children who are all currently in school. For the past 10 years, Charlse has been working hard to manage his retail shop, which sells spare parts.

To help expand his business, Charlse has requested a loan of 2,500,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase more spare parts to sell, and will help Charlse to generate greater profits and pay school fees for his children. He hopes that in the future he will be able to have a bigger business.

Charlse is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Charlse who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for micro-loans.
