Mbalu is 40 years old and is from the Lunsar Northern area in Sierra Leone. She is married with four children ages 11 to 20 years old. Three of her children are currently attending school.
Mbalu runs a food stand within her community and sells rice, palm oil and cooking seasoning. She has been running this business since 1985. She works at the business every day, 11 hours per day. She says that the main challenge to her business is the poor road network within her operating area.
Mbalu has requested a loan in order to buy, rice, palm oil and cooking seasoning for resale. The extra income from this loan will allow her to educate her children and take good care of her family. In the future, she plans to expand her business. She appreciates your support.
