Gertrude is 31 years old and lives in the town of West Point. She lives with her partner, who has his own business, and has three children, ages 6, 9, and 15. All three live at home with her; the oldest works and the other two are attending school.
For 10 years, Gertrude has been selling rice, oil, and coal on a table in the local market. Sometimes she doesn't have enough money to buy her goods wholesale, which is much more expensive. She likes to talk with her customers, and she learned how to sell from her auntie a long time ago.
Gertrude has requested a loan to buy more rice, oil, and coal. In the future, she would like to have her own place in the market, and build a house for her and her children.
