To meet her needs, Félicienne Akouélé has been selling fabrics and plates through a distribution system for 16 years. She procures her goods in a market in Benin. This is the first time that Félicienne Akouélé and the other members of her group have asked for financial support from Alide in order to strengthen their businesses and to satisfy their customers' needs.

Le couple a deux enfants, tous scolarisés et un à leur charge. Félicienne Akouélé vit ensemble avec son mari et ses enfants. Le couple assure ensemble les diverses charges de la famille. Pour ce faire, Félicienne Akouélé vend depuis seize ans des tissus et des assiettes par la méthode de distribution. Félicienne Akouélé s’approvisionne dans un marché du Bénin. C'est pour la première fois que Félicienne Akouélé ensemble avec les autres membres de son groupe sollicite l'appui financier de ALIDé dans le but de renforcer leur activité et de satisfaire la demande de leur clientèle.

About Alidé

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
