Chadi is a 36-year-old married father of four children who works in painting furniture. He is a Palestinian refugee, living and working in Lebanon with limited access to several working opportunities. Chadi is his family's sole breadwinner, which is why he is a hard worker. He puts much effort into improving his business productivity to attract more customers and increase his income. He has 16 years of experience in this work, which provides him with special talent and customers’ trust.

Chadi is acquiring a loan from Kiva partner Al Majmoua to buy a special paint compressor and a specialized wood cutting machine. These tools will enable him to do his work in a professional way. In the future Chadi hopes to open his own furniture painting shop. Today, he uses others' work locations and pays rent for the space, which is an additional expense he wants to eliminate.
