Jaime
Jaime is single and does not have children. He lives at his parents' house, located in the neighborhood of Ciudadela Ferroviaria, in the city of La Paz, and uses only one bedroom. He currently works for over six hours preparing food for a private company and providing customer service.

He is requesting a loan to buy kitchen supplies (dinner service, pans, pots, etc.) so that he can provide a better service and reach a higher number of customers. This would allow him to increase his income and to cover his expenses in food, transportation and basic services. Jaime's dream is to have his own restaurant as chef and to serve at events so that he can improve his income and quality of life.

This is the first time he requests a loan with IMPRO and Kiva.

About IMPRO

IMPRO is a small non-profit organization that has been offering micro credit to the working poor in the Bolivian cities of La Paz and El Alto since 1995. IMPRO’s goal is to fight poverty by offering loans to small business owners who cannot access credit through the regular banking system due to a lack of guarantees or collateral.

To ensure that everyone has access to credit, IMPRO maintains a low interest rate by minimizing operational costs. IMPRO’s partnership with Kiva, which began in 2007, has allowed IMPRO to expand its services while maintaining these low interest rates.
