Celestine is a married woman with one child who goes to school. She lives in a rental house that has electricity and piped water.
She has been in business operating a retail shop for the past three years, selling household consumables like wheat flour, maize flour and sugar. She dreams of opening a wholesale shop in the future.
With the loan she is requesting, she wants to purchase stocks of sugar, rice, maize flour and wheat flour. She decided to join Yehu so that she could access loans to boost her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
