Jose
Jose lives with his wife and their only child. He is a member of a group called Magua en Desarrollo, located in a rural area of the city of Hato Mayor. This is his sixth loan which he will use to improve his house. Jose's business, started with his first loan from Esperanza Internacional, involves selling animals, such as pigs, chickens, etc. After his most recent loan which he invested in his business, Jose realized the need to finish building his home's structure by covering the concrete block wall with cement, making the floor, changing the roof and also buying windows, doors and paint.

Esperanza Internacional runs a program for their good clients who are reliable in repaying their loans, who have fulfilled the commitment to grow their business and who have shown fidelity in their groups. This allows them to take out a loan to improve the structure of their house at the same time as running their business and attending their group meetings.

Jose thanks God, Esperanza Internacional and all of you for this opportunity. In his name and that of his family, he thanks you for your support!

Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes.
