Wanza is a married woman with 7 children. Five of her children are adults and 2 of them attend school. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food for the family.
For the past 10 years, she has operated a shop kiosk business selling to her neighbours and passersby. She mentioned price fluctuation as her major challenge. Wanza dreams of establishing a wholesale shop in the future.
She decided to join Yehu to get financial support. With the loan of Kshs 30,000, she wants to purchase salt, bread, milk, soft drinks, rice, sugar, beans, and sweets for resale.
