Emily is married, has three children and resides in Anastacio, Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte. Her husband is a motorcycle driver carrying passengers and baggage while she earns income from food vending. She borrowed 10,000 PHP from GDMPC micro credit to purchase new tires and accessories for the motorcycle. She wants to improve the general living situation of her family and it motivates her to work hard in faith to increase her returns.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
