Jee-Ann is married with three children and resides in Sebasi, Clarin, Misamis Occidental. She is a teacher while her husband works as a provincial driver. Aside from their salary, she manages their own farm planting corn as under cropping of the coco farm to make a living. She borrowed a loan of 40,000 PHP to cover the costs of farm plowing and to purchase farm inputs like seeds and fertilizer. She is determined to give her children a better future, so with this investment, a portion of the profit gained will be saved for their education.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
